A very tasty South Indian tea time snack

Ingredients Serving: 12

  1. Rice flour 1 cup
  2. urad dal flour - 1/2 cup
  3. sesame seeds -1/2 tsp
  4. Carrom seeds - 1/2 tsp
  5. asafoetida- 1 pinch
  6. butter- 1/4th cup
  7. salt - acc to taste
  8. water for kneading the dough
  9. oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Sieve rice flour and dal flour in a bowl
  2. Add all the dry ingredients and mix
  3. Add butter and mix
  4. Add water to knead a soft dough
  5. Now grease a chakali press and put some dough in it , make chakali and fry till golden brown on medium flame .
  6. Once cool stir in a air tight jar .
