Ingredients for making buns-
3 cups wheat flour
1 tablespoon instant dry yeast
2 tablespoon sugar
1 tsp Salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/4 cup Lukewarm milk
2 1/2 table spoon oil
1 medium size onion finely chopped
7-8 garlic cloves finely chopped
2 green chilies finely chopped
2 teaspoon cumin
2 teaspoon fennel
1 tablespoon coriander leaves Finely chopped
1 tablespoon curry leaves finely chopped
1 teaspoon dry mint leaves powder
1 table spoon butter (for brushing)
Ingredients for garnishing-
1 small onion sliced in thin slices
Chilli flakes as desired
Coriander leaves as desired
Instructions
Steps for making buns-
In a medium sized bowl, mix warm milk, sugar n yeast and allow to rest for 10 minutes or until it tunrs frothy.
In another bowl, mix whole wheat flour, salt, baking powder and stir well and keep ready.
Once the yeast mixture turns frothy, add oil and mix it then add the prepared flour mixture.
Now add finely chopped onions, chilli, coriander leaves,curry leaves, garlic, cumin seeds, fennel and mint powder, mix everything well and now the dough turns to be a very sticky dough.
Grease your hands with oil, and on a well floured surface knead the dough for 5-6 minutes to a smooth dough.
Now grease the bowl with oil and keep the kneaded dough and cover the bowl with damp cloth and rest it in hot place for 2 hour .
After 2 hours dough will be double in size and again knead it for 1-2 minutes.
Divide the dough into 10 equal parts and make balls, grease, the baking tray with a butter and arrange the balls on it.
Then allow this to raise for 20 minutes,
Preheat the oven to 200°c.
After this brush the top with butter and sprinkle sliced onions , chilli flakes and chopped coriander and bake it for 15-20 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.
Maska chaska masala buns are ready,serve them with hot tea.
