ABOUT Frog Idli in Sambhar Pond RECIPE

It's normal Idli but shape and size of the Idli attract the children very much, so friends try it.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For Frog Idli:-
  2. 1 cup Rava
  3. 1 cup butter milk
  4. 1 packet Eno
  5. salt as per taste
  6. For Sambhar:-
  7. 1 cup Toovar Dal
  8. 2 tablespoons Chana Dal
  9. 2 tablespoons Vegetables (as you desired)
  10. 2 chopped tomatoes
  11. 1 tablespoon tarmarid pulp
  12. 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  13. 1 teaspoon meethi seeds
  14. 1/4 asafoetida
  15. 2 tablespoons curry leaves
  16. 1 tablespoon oil
  17. Salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. For Idli:-
  2. Take bowl put Rava, salt and make batter with buttermilk and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Then put eno in batter and mix it nicely.
  4. Now take frog shape microwave mould and put batter in it.
  5. In microwave on micro baked it for 5 minutes.
  6. Then demould it.
  7. For Sambhar:-
  8. Soak the toovar dal and chana dal in enough water for 20 minutes and drain.
  9. Combine the dals with 2 cups of water and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
  10. Combine the brinjal, drumstick, bottle gourd and 1 cup of water in a deep non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 10 minutes.
  11. Add the cooked dal, tarmarid Pulp in the cooked vegetables.
  12. Cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes,
  13. For the tempering, heat the oil in a small non-stick pan and add the mustard seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves and crackle them.
  14. Now put in the Sambhar.
  15. Then take bowl put Sambhar and in the centre put Frog Idli.
  16. Enjoy it with kiddos.
