ABOUT Checkerboard cake RECIPE

This is very easy n quick recipe. My baby loves this cake and i made it little healthier by substituting some ingredients. Feel free it is eggless.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cup flour for milk white cake
  2. 2 cup flour for dark cake
  3. 150grms salted butter
  4. 200grms pure ghee
  5. 4-5 cups sugar(as per taste u want)
  6. 2tsp cocoa powder
  7. 200grms dark compund chocolate
  8. 200gr.s white chocolate
  9. 3 Cups Milk
  10. Few drops of vanilla Essence
  11. 2tsp Baking powder

Instructions

  1. Firstly melt white and dark chocolate in double boiler and make sure the water should not touch the chocolate otherwise texture of the chocolate will die.
  2. For white base chocolate cake, take a bowl and add 2 cup all purpose flour and baking soda and sugar powder and mix them.
  3. Now add white melted chocolate, vanilla essence, 50grms butter, 4 tsp melted pure ghee and milk and whisk gently
  4. Now grease a baking oval shaped bowl and bake the white cake in microwave high point for about 8-10. After that let it to cool
  5. Second for the dark cake base, mix flour, sugar powder, baking powder then pour butter ghee and melted dark chocolate
  6. Bake in microwave for about 8 mins at high point
  7. Let cool on a wire rack
  8. Now take 2 medium and small size bowl and cut the cake sponge in a way to make big, medium and small rings (total 3 ring for each cake)
  9. Now place chocolate cake big ring on a tray and put medium white cake sponge under the chocolate ring and then place last small ring in middle of them
  10. If the rings breaks at this time you can set the broken ring pieces by using sugar syrup
  11. After one layer spread some sugar syrup and repeat the same alternate ring method with the second layer
  12. Now spread sugar syrup on top of it and let it to set in fridge for 15-20mins
  13. Meanwhile make chocolate icing by moxing melted dark chocolate,pure ghee, vanilla essence
  14. After 15min you can see that the sugar syrup set down the cake rings
  15. Now pour chocolate sauce which we made for icing the cake
  16. You can shred some white choco flakes over it
