ABOUT Pillow Samosas/Non Veg Pillows... RECIPE

A lovely iftaar recipe from my closet for you all. The filling can be veg or non-veg depending upon your choice. Make these goodies to impress your families and guests at iftaar get togethers. Trust me guys, these make for a super yummy munchies and everyone will enjoy it's crisp texture. And taste will be ofcourse a bonus. Happy Ramadan Time Friends !!!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. FOR THE SAMOSA DOUGH ; All purpose flour 2 1/2 cups
  2. Salt 1 tsp
  3. Carom seeds crushed 1 tsp
  4. Oil 1 tbsp
  5. Milk 3/4 - 1 cup
  6. water 1/4 cup
  7. FOR THE KHEEMA FILLING ; Mutton mince 250 gm
  8. Salt 1 tsp
  9. Oil 1 1/2 tbsp
  10. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  11. Garam masala 1 tsp
  12. Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
  13. Green chillies chopped 2
  14. Onions sliced 2
  15. Green peas boiled 1/2 cup
  16. Coriander seeds crushed 1 tsp
  17. Coriander leaves chopped 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Knead a smooth dough using all the ingredients mentioned in the list.
  2. Do use water accordingly.
  3. Prepare the mince filling by sauteeing the onions first.
  4. Add the rest of the spices along with the mince next.
  5. Saute on a low to medium high heat for 15-18 minutes.
  6. Finally add green peas too.
  7. Garnish with garam masala and chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Divide the dough into equal sized small balls.
  9. Roll out a small disc equal to that of a poori. Take care that you roll a thin one as we are using two discs for these samosas.
  10. Fill the centre with the mince preparation.
  11. Top it with another one and seal the edges with your fingers pinching it down using little flour paste or simply good old water.
  12. Deep fry in hot oil on a medium high heat.
  13. Serve these with any dip of your choice.
  14. These make for an excellent iftaar delight.
