ABOUT Fishy Egg Fry (contains no Fish) RECIPE

Fishy Egg is a recipe which almost tastes like Fish but it does not contains fish. You can enjoy the Fishy egg as a breakfast lunch or brunch. Here i prepared fishy egg fry like fish fry, you can make it in mustard sauce, or like garlic masala fish. Its easy and full of protein too.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For fishy egg 3-4 medium sized boiled potatoes
  2. 4 -5 eggs
  3. Salt a pinch
  4. For masala- red chilli powder 1/2 tspn
  5. Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  6. Amchoor powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspn
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Oil for pan frying

Instructions

  1. Take boiled potatoes in a big bowl.
  2. Mash the potatoes.
  3. Break the eggs in it.
  4. Blend this mixture with blender.
  5. Add salt. Blend again.
  6. Grease a tin or mold ( you can use khaman dhokla bold) meanwhile add water in boiler and keep it on stove. Pour this mixture in greased mold. The prepared better should be of pouring consistancy.
  7. Keep the tin on a preheated boiler. (you can use
  8. Cover the lid. Let it cook for 4-5 minutes on high flame.
  9. Open the lid and do knife test. If mixture doesnt stick on knife . It means our egg Fish is ready.
  10. Cut this on to pieces. Like khaman.
  11. Now heat oil in a pan . Add these pieces in to pan. And shallow fry it till it turn golden and crisp.
  12. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, amchoor powder and salt. Toss.
  13. Serve hot with choice of tandoori dip, green chutney or tomato ketchup. And have these yummy fishy egg fry to satiate you hunger pangs.
