Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Chicken 1 kg
  2. Yoghurt 1 cup + 1/2 cup
  3. Onion 1 large finely chopped
  4. coriander powder 1 tbsp
  5. Salt 2 tsp
  6. turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Red Chili Powder 1 Tsp
  8. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  9. Ginger - Garlic paste 1 tbsp each
  10. Onions 2 large cut in rings
  11. Mint leaves (fresh/dry) 1/2 cup
  12. Garam masala powder 2 tsp
  13. Green chillies 3-4
  14. Oil 1/2 cup
  15. Coal 1 piece

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with 2 tbs of yogurt and keep aside covered for 10 to 15 minutes.  
  2. Heat the oil add onions, ginger & garlic paste fry on high flame till light golden.
  3. Then add the cumin seeds, chicken and cook on high flame till the chicken changes colour.
  4. Add the salt, red chilli, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric, 1 cup yogurt mix well cover and cook till the oil comes on the surface on medium flame, then add 1tbs mint mix well.
  5. Preheat the oven 180°C.
  6. Make the coal red hot.   Place the cooked chicken in a oven proof dish top it with the remaining yogurt, onion rings, mint, green chilli, then place a piece of foil in the middle add the hot coal spoon 1 tsp  of oil cover and wait till the smoke settles.
  7. Then place the dish in the oven and bake for 15 minutes and serve hot with naan.
  8. Enjoy yummyy chicken...!!!
