Just Joking
In college, our neighbor made multiple efforts to get us evicted from our residence because of the number of cars parked by us. She even installed surveillance cameras directly at our house, evidently trying to monitor our actions. One day, while we were playing basketball in our driveway, my roommate responded to her constant complaints by jokingly exposing himself, which she found extremely offensive. In response, she immediately called 9-1-1 and accused him of indecent exposure in front of her child.
After reviewing the surveillance footage, the police officers confirmed that we hadn’t done anything wrong. They advised us to ignore her actions. To restore our privacy and peace, we took it upon ourselves to hang a large sheet of plastic about 20 feet high in the trees along our property line. This makeshift barrier provided us with a sense of calm until our lease expired. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to renew it.
