Obtaining my driver’s license was a rather unconventional experience, as I unintentionally acquired it without having to go through the typical formal driver’s test. Instead, I simply went into the DMV and presented my driver’s permit from another state, along with proof of my residence in the new state. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up at the DMV because they mistakenly interpreted my permit as a valid license. This confusion arose because my previous state’s permit had two restrictions: class A due to my requirement for glasses and class B since it was only a permit that required a licensed passenger accompanying me.
Moreover, when I received my license in the new state, they removed the class A restriction but assigned me a class B license instead. In this particular state, having a class B license indicates that I needed glasses. However, during the entire process, I maintained a composed conduct & left the DMV without showing that misunderstanding.
The Name Game
There’s an interesting backstory behind my name as well. When I was born, my mom faced some challenges, and the nurse helped her fill out the birth certificate. While my mom had planned to name me ‘Kristin Eileen,’ the nurse misheard and wrote down ‘Christine’ as my first name. So, I ended up being named Christine without a middle name.
When my parents realized the mistake on the birth certificate, they decided to embrace it since they had always intended to give me the nickname Chrissie. I’m grateful for that, Mom and Dad!
