ABOUT Instant oats idli RECIPE

I am sharing idli recipe prepared from oats. Idlis are considerd to a staple breakfast of every south indian family, to make idlis more healthy lets add some oats in our diet and make it more nutritious and healthy masala oats idli is a instant idli recipe and is very similar to rava idli. Oats idli goes well with chutney and sambhar of your choice. You can add any vegetables of your choice to make it more healthy and delicious. Oats are good for weights loss so add the delicious oats idli in your diet.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Oats 1 cup
  2. Suji 1 cup
  3. Curd 1 cup
  4. 2 tbsp boiled peas
  5. 2 tbsp corriender leaves chopped
  6. 2 green chilli finely chopped
  7. 2 tbsp finely chopped carrot
  8. 2 tbsp boiled sweet corn
  9. Water 1 cup
  10. 1 tsp eno of fruit salt
  11. salt as per taste
  12. For Tadka...
  13. Oil 1 tbsp
  14. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  15. Urad dal 1 /2 tsp
  16. Curry leaves 7 to 8 crushed
  17. Chana dal 1/2 tsp
  18. Hing a pinch
  19. Jeera 1 /2 tsp

Instructions

  1. DRY ROAST 1 CUP OF OATS IN A KADAHI FOR 2-3 MINS.
  2. LET COOL. THEN GRIND THE ROASTED OATS INTO A POWDER.
  3. HEAT 1 TBSP OIL. ADD 1/2 TSP JEERA, A PINCH OF HING, 1/2 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS & 1/2 TSP URAD DAL.
  4. ADD 7 TO 8 CURRY LEAVES & 1/2 TSP CHANA DAL. LET IT SPLUTTER.
  5. ADD 1 CUP OF SUJI AND ROAST.
  6. ROAST TILL MIXTURE BECOMES FRAGRANT.
  7. IN A LARGE BOWL, ADD THE ROASTED SUJI, 1 CUP CURD & THE OATS POWDER.
  8. MIX.
  9. ADD 2 TBSP BOILED PEAS, 2 TBSP BOILED CARROT, 2 TBSP GREEN CHILLI, 2 TBSP BOILED CORN,
  10. 2 TBSP CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES & SALT TO TASTE.
  11. ADD 1 CUP OF WATER. MIX WELL.
  12. ADD WATER AS REQUIRED TO GET THIS CONSISTENCY.
  13. ADD 1 TSP ENO POWDER. MIX AND SET ASIDE.
  14. GREASE THE IDLI MOULDS.
  15. PUT THE BATTER IN THE GREASED MOULDS.
  16. STEAM FOR 15 MINUTES.
  17. INSERT KNIFE. IF IT COMES OUT CLEAN, THE IDLIS ARE READY.
  18. LET IDLIS COOL AND THEN UNMOULD.
  19. ENJOY WITH SAMBHAR OR A CHUTNEY OF YOUR CHOICE.
