ABOUT Home made jaggery candy RECIPE

This candy always transports me back to my childhood. Healthy and rich in iron, this candy is great for both kids and adults.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Jaggery 3/4 kg
  2. Water 200 ml
  3. Oil 3 Tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Add water and jaggery.
  2. Mix well until the jaggery starts to dissolve. Boil the jaggery and stir it continuously.
  3. Once desired consistency is reached, remove from flame.
  4. Apply oil on a kitchen counter.
  5. Pour the jaggery mixture over the counter and let cool for 5 minutes.
  6. Check the temperature. If you manage the temperature, start the massage.
  7. Tightly roll and pull the jaggery mixture with your hands.
  8. Continue pulling for 5 minutes, until the colour starts to change.
  9. Once colour changes, tightly roll it from both sides, like an elastic.
  10. Evenly roll the candy and cut with a knife.
  11. Dust the prepared candy with wheat flour.
  12. Jaggery candy is ready to eat.
