ABOUT Kapparisi RECIPE

It is traditional tamilnadu sweet made on special occasions. Its simply dish made with rice and jaggery. It is very crunchy and very tasty. Its can be served as healthy snack for kids. It is also made as Prasadam for God on Pooja occasion.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Raw rice 1/2 cup
  2. jaggery 3 tbsp
  3. ghee required
  4. cashews required
  5. Fried Gram required
  6. Dry grapes required
  7. cardamom 3 pods

Instructions

  1. RINSE AND SOAK RAW RICE IN LITTLE WATER FOR 1 HR
  2. DRAIN WATER COMPLETELY
  3. FRY CASHEWS AND DRY GRAPES IN LITTLE GHEE
  4. HEAT A PAN ADD DRAINED RICE AND START ROASTING
  5. DRY ROAST RICE TILL ITS COLOR CHANGES TO RED. ROAST ON LOW FLAME
  6. COOL ROASTED RICE
  7. ADD TO BLENDER
  8. GRIND COARSELY. USE PULSE TO GRIND
  9. ADD 3 TBSP JAGGERY AND LITTLE WATER TO THICK SYRUP
  10. ADD RICE POWDER
  11. MIX GENTLY
  12. ADD CARDAMOM POWDER, CASHEW, DRY GRAPES AND FRIED GRAM
  13. COOL THE MIXTURE
