Very popular Bengali style pancakes , yummy and very soft . They can be served along with dry or gravy dishes , vegetarian or nonvegetarian dishes .

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Maida 100 gms
  2. Egg 1
  3. Salt as per your taste
  4. Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  5. Onion 1/2 finely chopped
  6. Tomato 1/2 chopped finely
  7. Ginger 1/3 inch chopped finely
  8. Water 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup approximately
  9. Ghee or butter 2-3 tbsp

Instructions

  1. FIRSTLY WE WILL MAKE BATTER , IN A BIG BOWL ADD 100 GMS OF MAIDA AND 1/4 TSP SALT
  2. MIX SALT AND MAIDA WITH THE HELP OF A SPOON . ADD 1/2 CUP OF WATER
  3. ADD WATER , AS NEEDED . MIX WELL SO THAT NO LUMPS ARE THERE
  4. BREAK AND ADD 1 EGG , MIX WELL WITH THE BATTER
  5. SEE THE CONSISTENCY OF THE BATTER , NEITHER THIN NOR THICK .
  6. NOW KEEP ASIDE THE BATTER FOR 30 MINUTES
  7. ADD 1/2 CHOPPED TOMATO , 1/3 INCH CHOPPED GINGER , 1 TBSP CHOPPED CORIANDER
  8. ADD 1/2 FINELY CHOPPED ONION ALSO
  9. ADD 1/4 TSP BLACK PEPPER POWDER , MIX WELL
  10. HEAT A NONSTICK FRYING PAN IN MEDIUM HEAT
  11. GREASE PAN WITH 1/3 TSP OF GHEE OR BUTTER
  12. ADD 1-2 LADDLE OF BATTER IN THE PAN AND SPREAD IT LIKE OMELETTES
  13. TURN THE PANCKE TO THE OTHER SIDE ONCE IT IS DONE , NO NEED TO FRY UNTIL BROWN OR CRISPY
  14. FLIP IT 1_2 TIMES MORE , UNTIL IT TURNS LIGHT BROWN AND FLUFFY
  15. ONCE DONE TAKE IN A PLATE
  16. THE PANCAKES ARE READY NOW
