ABOUT Masala Fish Fry RECIPE

This fish fry uses a special rub that is my grand moms secret.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 whole fish
  2. Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  3. Lemon juice of 1/2
  4. Salt
  5. Whole dhania 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. CLEAN, WASH & MAKE DEEP CUTS ON A WHOLE FISH
  2. TAKE 2 TBSP GINGER-GARLIC PASTE & RUB IT OVER & IN BETWEEN THE SLITS
  3. SQUEEZE THE JUICE OF HALF A LEMON ALL OVER THE FISH
  4. COARSELY CRUSH 2 TBSP DRY ROASTED CORIANDER SEEDS
  5. ADD 1 TSP EACH OF TURMERIC, RED CHILLI & CORIANDER POWDERS
  6. ADD 1 TSP SALT, 1/4 TSP GARAM MASALA POWDER
  7. ADD 1 TBSP ROASTED KASURI METHI LEAVES, MIX ALL THE MASALAS
  8. COARSELY GRIND THE MASALAS LIKE THIS
  9. SPREAD THE MASALA ALL OVER THE FISH, RUB WELL INSIDE THE SLITS
  10. WRAP WITH FOIL & SET ASIDE TO MARINATE FOR 3-4 HOURS
  11. SHALLOW FRY IN HOT OIL
  12. FLIP & FRY FROM BOTH SIDES TILL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP, SERVE HOT WITH KETCHUP OR CHUTNEY
