Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. mushrooms sliced - 1 1/2 cups
  2. Cubed onions - 3/4 cups
  3. Chopped tomatoes - 1/2 cup
  4. ginger - 1/2 inch
  5. garlic cloves - 2
  6. cashew nuts - 6 to 8
  7. oil - 1.5 tablespoon
  8. Bay leaf a small piece
  9. cardamom - 1
  10. cinnamon small stick
  11. Kashmiri chilly powder - 3/4 teaspoon
  12. Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  13. coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  14. Kasuri methi - 1/4 teaspoon
  15. salt as per taste
  16. coriander leaves and fresh cream to garnish


  1. Blanch onions and cool them.
  2. Add them to a blender with tomatoes, cashews and ginger garlic.
  3. Make a fine paste and set them aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and saute bay leaf, cardamom and cinnamon.
  5. Pour the blended mix and Cook till it gets thick.
  6. Now add the masalas and Cook on a low flame until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
  7. Add mushrooms and required salt and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Now add required water and Cook till the mushrooms becomes tender.
  9. Bring the gravy to a desired consistency by adding more water.
  10. Sprinkle kasuri meth and switch off the stove.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves and fresh cream.
