ABOUT Tomato Onion Chutney RECIPE

This Chutney is a special one and it tastes really good.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Onion 4 Cut thinly
  2. Tomato 2 cut thinly
  3. Garlic 2 to 4 Cloves
  4. Dry red chilli 8
  5. Coconut 2 tbsp
  6. Sesame Oil to Sauté
  7. To Temper
  8. Sesame oil 1 tbsp
  9. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  10. Split Urad dal 1/2 tsp
  11. Curry leaves 1 strand

Instructions

  1. Sauté Onion, Tomato, red chilli and garlic in gingely oil until soft.
  2. Once cooled grind them in a mixie.
  3. Pour oil in a kadai and add mustard, once it starts to crack, add split urad dal and curry leaves.
  4. Add the chutney paste and sauté well.
  5. Add gingely oil in the end switch off the stove. Goes great along Dosa and Idli.
