ABOUT Homemade Sriracha Sauce RECIPE

Spicy sauce to marinate meats, veggies or tofu. Works well as a part of a salad dressing too

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Thai red chilies 15
  2. Red jalapenos 4
  3. Red snacking peppers 2
  4. Tomato Sauce 2 tbsp
  5. Dark soy sauce 1 tbsp
  6. Garlic cloves 4 minced
  7. White sugar 1 tbsp
  8. Brown sugar 2 tbsp
  9. Rice wine vinegar 1/4 cup
  10. Salt to taste
  11. vegetable oil 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Stem the chilies and peppers and slice them thinly. You may discard the seeds to reduce the heat. Make sure you wear gloves while doing this.
  2. Heat a pan with oil.
  3. Add the minced garlic and fry till golden.
  4. Now add the sliced peppers and chilies along with the tomato sauce and soy sauce and cook till they become soft.
  5. To this add salt and sugar and mix well.
  6. Let cool completely.
  7. Place everything in a blender along with the vinegar and blend to a smooth paste
  8. Store in an airtight glass jar.
