ABOUT Tender jackfruit & brown peas puzhukku. RECIPE

A simple delicious Kerala dish , without onion or garlic, that can be taken with rice or porridge.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Tender jackfruit boiled & chopped into small pieces 1 cup
  2. Cooked brown peas 2/2 cup
  3. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  4. Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  5. Green chilli 3 chopped
  6. Grated coconut 1/4 cup
  7. Salt
  8. Curry leaves a few
  9. Coconut oil 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan. Add boiled jackfruit & brown peas, with the water it boiled, along with turmeric , Chilli powder & salt.
  2. Let it boiled for a few minutes.
  3. Then add coarsely ground coconut. Stir well & cook for 3 , 4 min.
  4. Remove from fire.
  5. Add coconut oil & curry leaves. Close it for sometime.
  6. Serve hot.
