ABOUT Dal Moradabadi RECIPE

Pulses are very rich in proteins and this dal is a perfect side dish to be served with roti or rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup of petite yellow lentils ( dhuli moong day)
  2. Salt to taste
  3. 1tsp of jeera powder
  4. 1whole red chilly
  5. 1 lemon for juice
  6. 1tsp of chat masala
  7. Couple of pinch heeng
  8. 1tsp of chopped Ginger
  9. 50 GM of cottage cheese

Instructions

  1. Soak the lentils for 20 minutes in water.
  2. Take pressure cooker, add heeng & lentils. Boil them.
  3. Once 3 whistles are attained, switch off the flame. Open the lid once the pressure has settled down.
  4. Cook for 10 minutes more on a simmer flame
  5. Before serving sprinkle chat masala, jeera powder, crushed chilli
  6. Ginger, lemon juice & mashed cottage cheese..
