All time favourite ....either there is marriage or any other occasion its a perfect and rich desert liked by everyone.And this halwa recipe is so instant that you can make it within half hour....u can make it as a sweet dish for your guest also.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. moong dal 1 cup
  2. ghee 3/4 cup
  3. sugar 1 cup
  4. water 1 cup
  5. Milk 1 cup
  6. salt a pinch
  7. Few saffron strands
  8. cardamom powder 1 tsp
  9. 3 tbsp Chopped dry fruits (almond, pistachios)


  1. Grind moong dal to fine powder
  2. Heat ghee in wok. Add ground dal powder and saute until aromatic and golden brown
  3. Add hot water and salt.Mix well.
  4. Add milk and sugar. Stir constantly until sugar dissolves
  5. Add cardamom powder and kesar. Mix well
  6. Stir continuously till mixture starts leaving sides of the pan
  7. Garnish with nuts and serve hot.

Can I add more dry fruits to make it more nutritious?
