Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Oats - 2 cups, coarsely powdered
  2. Almond - 1\4 cup, crushed
  3. Ground nuts - 1\4 cup, crushed
  4. Raisin - 1\4 cup
  5. Dates – 10 to 12 deseeded, finely chopped
  6. Flax seed - 2 tablespoon
  7. Melon seed - 2 tablespoon
  8. Walnut - 1 tbsp, crushed
  9. Roasted Chana dhal – 2 tablespoon
  10. Palm Jaggery - 1/3 cup
  11. Strawberry puree - 1\3 cup, preferably homemade without sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine 1\4 cup palm jaggery and 3\4 cup of water in medium heat. Simmer until the jaggery dissolves and the syrup starts boiling. Remove from flame. Strain the syrup to remove impurities if any. Let it cool.
  2. Prepare the ingredients like crushing or chopping as mentioned above.
  3. In a large bowl combine oats, almond, walnut, groundnut, flax seed, melon seed, roasted chana, raisin and dates.
  4. Add jaggery syrup and fresh strawberry puree. Mix well until the liquid ingredients gets coated well with the oats n nuts mixture. The dough will be sticky and slightly crumbly.
  5. Transfer the dough to a flat square or rectangular baking dish lined with parchment\butter paper.
  6. Press down the dough firmly until it is flattened uniformly. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake it for 15 minutes at 180 degree centigrade.
  7. Bring it to room temperature and cut into squares. Store them in an air-tight container.
