ABOUT Potato Chicken Pie RECIPE

This is a chicken stuffed potato pie. I especially tried this dish for this competition. This is a new dish I tried. Hope you all like it. This dish was lip smacking delicious. It is one of the best appetizers I have made till date.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For outer crust (Made of potato):
  2. Boiled potatoes- 2 (big)
  3. Cornflour- 1 tablespoon
  4. Egg-1
  5. Butter- 1 tablespoon
  6. Peri peri spice - 1 teaspoon
  7. Crushed pepper- 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Salt to taste
  9. For stuffing:
  10. Minced chicken- 1/2 cup
  11. Peas - 1 tablespoon
  12. Sweet corn - 1 tablespoon
  13. Onion- 1
  14. Chopped ginger garlic- 2 teaspoon
  15. Crushed pepper- 1/2 teaspoon
  16. Red chilly powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  17. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. For filling:
  2. Take a pan, put 1 tsp oil and put ginger garlic to roast.
  3. Further, add chopped onion.
  4. Once it becomes translucent add the minced chicken into the pan. Saute it nicely.
  5. Add boiled peas and sweet corn.
  6. Add red chilly powder and pepper, cook it for a while.
  7. Keep it aside.
  8. Take a pie mould or a shell shaped mould and grease it with butter.
  9. Put all the ingredients for the outer crust, that is the smashed potato, corn flour, peri peri spice, pepper and salt, mix it thoroughly. And make a small dough out of it.
  10. Beat an egg, mix half of it into the mixture.
  11. Take small portions and put those into the greased moulds. Keep a little void so that the chicken stuffing can be put.
  12. Once you put the chicken stuffing into the moulds put some of the beaten egg.
  13. Take small portions and seal the top of the moulds.
  14. Brush a little butter over the top of these pies.
  15. Bake these for 30 mins in a preheated oven at 200 degrees.
  16. Serve hot.
