ABOUT Malai kofta RECIPE

My family's favourite,my festivals are incomplete without this yummy and creamy malai kofta.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Paneer 1 cup mashed and tightly packed
  2. Boil and mashed potato 1 cup
  3. Cornflour 2 teaspoon
  4. Cashews chopped 8-10
  5. Raisins 8-10
  6. Salt to taste
  7. For gravy-
  8. Big onion roughly chopped 1
  9. Green chillies 3
  10. Small cinnamon stick 1
  11. Garlic cloves 6-7
  12. Cloves 3
  13. Ginger piece1
  14. Tomatoes roughly chopped 3
  15. Cashew nuts 8
  16. Desi mirch 1/2 teaspoon
  17. Sauce according to taste
  18. Butter1 tablespoon
  19. Cream2 tablespoon
  20. Milk for adjudting the gravy

Instructions

  1. Boil onions, tomatoes, cashews, cardamoms, cloves and cinnamon in a pan with half cup water.When the tomatoes become soft, turn off the gas and let it cool..Grind it to a smooth paste.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaf, cinnamon and cardamoms. Saute for a minute.Add ginger garlic paste and saute on low flame till the raw smell goes away.Pour the onion tomato paste. Mix it well and add chili powder, garam masala, salt and sugar.Saute for 5 mins.
  3. Cook covered until the mixture thickens,Add water to make a gravy. When oil leaves the sides add kasuri methi and salt. Stir and turn off the heat. Set this aside.
  4. kofta making Boil potatoes . Crumble them and add it in a bowl with crumbled paneer, ginger paste, corn flour, salt, garam masala and chopped coriander leaves.
  5. Mix everything and flatten it on palm.put dry fruit and seal it.fry it in hot oil
  6. At last place koftas in serving dish and pour gravy over it.garnish it with cream and serve
