ABOUT Spicy baby bittergourd RECIPE

This is my family's favourite recipe. Kutty pavarkai or baby bitter gourd is rarely available in store. It tastes best than big ones.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Baby bitter gourd 150 gms
  2. Onion 1
  3. oil 1 tbsp
  4. Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
  5. chilli powder 1 tsp
  6. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  7. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse baby bitter gourd
  2. Cut the bitter gourds
  3. Add 2 tbsp oil and fry chopped onion
  4. Add bitter gourd and saute. Add turmeric powder
  5. Add little water. Close a lid and cook for 5 mins on low flame
  6. Once cooked add salt, chilli powder and garam masala. Mix well
  7. Serve hot with rice
