Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup of moong dal
  2. 3/4 cup sugar
  3. 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
  4. 1 cup ghee ( use per need)

Instructions

  1. In a heavy bottom pan dry roast the moong dal till the roast aroma rises and the beans are showing golden speckles. This will take about twelve to fifteen minutes on a low flame.
  2. Keep at it as it will burn if done any faster.
  3. Cool it till it is handlable.
  4. Powder it in your spice mill with the sugar and cardamom added.
  5. Set aside in a plate
  6. Warm the ghee...just enough to melt for an even spread
  7. Now using a spoon add the ghee to the powder prepared and make small  lime sized balls. 
  8. Use the ghee as require to hold the powder together. The ghee will cool down and further harden the ball.
  9. Store in an airtight container and use when needed.
