ABOUT Petha - Gulkand Satori RECIPE

Satori (or Satorya) is a stuffed sweet Indian bread. Generally, khoya or mawa is stuffed inside the roti. I have replaced Gulkand & Petha to give it a twist.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For Stuffing:
  2. 1 tbsp ghee
  3. 1 cup grated Petha
  4. 3-4 tbsp Gulkanda
  5. For Cover :
  6. 1 Cup All purpose flour (Maida)
  7. 1 tbsp Ghee
  8. A pinch of Salt
  9. Water as required
  10. Ghee for Roasting

Instructions

  1. Grate Petha and add Gulkanda to it to make the stuffing. Lightly mix this mixture. Make lemon sized balls and keep aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl add the all purpose flour and hot ghee. Knead with water. Set it aside for 15 minutes. Make lemon sized balls with this mixture and keep aside.
  3. Place a flat pan on medium heat. Make puris out of the dough balls.
