This Cake recipe in the pressure cooker needs no oven and no baking.Make this cake easily on the stove top in the convenience of your kitchen and wow your family and friends!

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1/2 cup condensed milk / milkmaid
  2. ¼ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  3. 1 cup maida / all-purpose flour / plain flour
  4. 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  5. 1 tsp Baking powder
  6. Pinch of salt
  7. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  8. 1 tsp vinegar
  9. ¼ cup milk, or add as required
  10. Other requirements-One 6 inch cake tray / pan
  11. 1 cup Salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl add 1/2 cup of condensed milk and ¼ cup of butter which is at room temperature. Whisk for atleast 5 minutes.
  2. Sieve maida, baking soda, baking powder and salt together into the bowl.
  3. Add vanilla extract and vinegar and milk to make a smooth batter.
  4. Line and grease a baking tin.
  5. In the pressure cooker add salt and heat for 5 minutes.
  6. Place a separator tray and then the cake tin on top.
  7. Remove the gasket and the whistle from the cooker and allow to bake for 40 minutes on low flame.
  8. Turn over and remove from cake tin. Decorate as desired or simply sieve some caster sugar on top.

Can we use eno fruit salt instead of baking soda and vinegar?
