Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. wholewheat flour2 cups
  2. Instant yeast 1 tsp
  3. Warm water 1/2 cup
  4. Milk warm 1/2 cup
  5. sugar 1tsp
  6. salt 1/4 tsp
  7. curd 2 tbsp
  8. coriander leaves chopped 2tbsp
  9. ghee accordingly


  1. INSTRUCTIONS 1.In a bowl, mix the warm water and milk along with sugar. Sprinkle the yeast and whisk for 1 min.cover and let it bloom for 10 mins The yeast shuld be frothy and all bubbled up.
  2. 2.In a bigger bowl mix 2 cups of flour, salt, curd and ghee. Add the yeast mixture. Mix and knead well to form a soft dough
  3. 3.Keep adding more flour if you find the dough too sticky. Once you achieve a soft elastic non sticky dough, place the dough ball in an oiled bowl
  4. 4.Clingwrap and allow to rise and double in volume. Once done ,
  5. 5.Push the dough down. Take small portions and form a ball. Flatten into small discs.
  6. 6.Roll them into 4" diameter kulchas. Sprinkle a bit of the chopped coriander leaves on top of each kulcha. Place the kulcha on a hot griddle. When they start to bubble, rise and you see the edges golden ,flip it. After cooking for about a minute, remove the kulcha and serve hot
