  12. Whole wheat Flour 3 cups
  13. Oil or ghee 2 tbsp
  14. Water 1 cup or more

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough with the ingredients listed under it. Leave it aside for 20 mins atleast.
  2. Heat a tbsp of oil and add the cumin seeds, asafoetida and the ginger. Also add the onions and the green chillies or red chilli powder, coriander leaves and the mango powder. It will be done in 5 mins. Do not add more oil in this. Cook it on medium flame.
  3. Add some salt and switch off the flame.
  4. Add this in the mashed potatoes and mix it well.
  5. Start rolling the rotis and place about 2 tbsp of the potato mix in the center and cover it up well from all the sides by pinching it after gathering it in the center.
  6. Make all the parathas like this and do it on low flame so it gets cooked well. Apply ghee or oil generously.
  7. Parathas can also be made in another way. In this, two round discs are rolled and then place the potato filling on one of them and cover it up with another. Seal the edges properly and now roll into the desired size. Apply ghee or oil generously for the most delicious lip smacking parathas.
  8. Serve them hot with butter, pickle and some raita.
