Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chana dal 1 glass
  2. Onion 4
  3. Tomato 3
  4. Jeera 1 tsp
  5. Salt as per taste
  6. Red chilly as per taste
  7. Green chilly 1 or 2
  8. Ginger 1 tsp
  9. Rice 1 glass

Instructions

  1. Take one glass yellow dal. Wash it. Take a pressure cooker. Cook dal by adding 2.5 cups water.
  2. Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder and salt.
  3. For tadka - Add chopped onions in preheated oil. Saute them properly.
  4. Add tomato, green chilly and jeera. Saute it for 10 minutes.
  5. On another side keep dal boiling for 25 minutes. Add this tadka in boiled daal.
  6. Garnish with ginger and coriander leaves. Serve with jeera and onion rice and tomato chutney.
