ABOUT A diet breakfast RECIPE

Dosa,made of moong dal, whole wheat & cabbage, with toor dal chutney & healthy lemon tea. A very good weight loss breakfast recipe, full of minerals, vitamins, fiber & is delicious too.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For Dosa
  2. Moong dal 1cup
  3. Bajra 1/2 cup
  4. Whole Wheat 2tbsp
  5. curry leaves
  6. Red chillies 3
  7. Chopped cabbage 1cup
  8. Oil, just to sprinkle
  9. For Dal chutney
  10. Masoor dal 1/2 cup
  11. Red chillies 4
  12. Coriander seeds 1/4 tsp
  13. Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  14. Garlic 3 cloves
  15. Salt
  16. Mustard a pinch
  17. Red Chillies 2
  18. curry leaves
  19. Asafoetida a pinch
  20. Oil 1/2 tsp
  21. Salt
  22. Lemon tea
  23. Water 3 Cups
  24. Lemon 1 1/2
  25. Honey 3 tsp
  26. Cinnamon sticks 2
  27. Green tea bag 3

Instructions

  1. For the dosa Soak moong dal & wheat for 3 hrs. Then grind it to a fine paste,adding enough water & red chillies,curry leaves & salt.
  2. Put cabbage into the blender & blend for 1 or 2 seconds. Pour into a bowl.stir well & make dosas, with very little oil. Roll it as thin as possible,make it crispy,on low fire. Use the batter,soon, don't keep it for longer time.
  3. For dal chutney Dry fry dal well, remove when it is well fried. Then add all the other ingredients & fry well. When cold enough ,grind it into a fine chutney,adding enough water. In a small pan,heat oil, add mustard,red chillies,curry leaves & a pinch of asafoetida. Add this tempering to the chutney.
  4. For the lemon tea : Boil water for 3 min, add cinnamon,simmer for 5,8 min. switch off the flame Filter,& transfer to a bowl.when water is still hot,add honey,tea bag &lemon juice. After 2 min,discard tea bag & mix everything. Drink when it s warm.
