Eggless mawa cake recipe, a rich and nutritious cake made with mawa.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. whole wheat flour or refined flour - 125 gms
  2. milk maid - 200 gms
  3. mawa - 125 gms
  4. butter - 60 gms
  5. Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp
  6. Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. nutmeg powder for sprinkling
  8. milk - 100 ml

Instructions

  1. Sift whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder and keep aside.
  2. Soak the 'mawa' in warm milk.
  3. Beat the butter until fluffy, add milk maid and beat well till it becomes a creamy mixture.
  4. Add the soaked mawa in the butter mixture, again beat for 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Add the sifted flour and fold in the batter.
  6. Take the cake tin, grease with oil. Pour the batter and sprinkle with nutmeg powder.
  7. Bake at 180°C for 30 to 40 minutes.
