ABOUT Kesar Badam Halwa RECIPE

Badam halwa is a delicious dessert made with grind almonds, cooked in ghee (clarified butter)with sugar and saffron & garnished with silvered almonds

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Almond 1 cup
  2. Sugar 1/2 cup
  3. Green cardamom powder 1 tsp
  4. Saffron strands 10-12
  5. Silvered almonds and saffron strands for Garnishing
  6. Milk 1/2 cup
  7. Ghee 4 tbsp
  8. Yellow food color 2 drops optional

Instructions

  1. Soaked almonds for 8 hrs or overnight.peeled and grind with milk not a fine paste but a coarse one.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan put flame on low.add grinded paste then keep stiring this mixture continously otherwise mixture will stick on pan and it may burn from bottom.
  3. Add sugar keep on stirring badam mixture then add saffron, yellow food color ,green cardmom powder and 2 tbsp of ghee so that mixture doesnt stick to bottom while its cooking.once mixture start leaving ghee stir for 2- 3 minutes.turn off heat.
  4. Remove from pan and garnish with silvered almonds and saffron Strands.
