ABOUT Boiled Egg Onion Curry RECIPE

This is a very easy and quick dish I like to keep always on top of my mind when my children request something different to eat.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 4-6 boiled eggs
  2. One big onion julienned
  3. One tomato coarsely chopped
  4. Salt, chilli powder and turneric powder according to taste
  5. coriander leaves and curry leaves
  6. one green chilli
  7. oil as required


  1. Boil eggs, take out shells and cut into circles. Keep 1-2 whole yolks as well.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add onions when hot enough. Sprinkle some salt.
  3. Saute for a minute. As onion starts changing colour, add the tomatoes.
  4. Cook this mixture well for some time.
  5. As the oil starts to gather around the pan, add the boiled eggs. Break the yolks and add to pan.
  6. Now mix chilli, turmeric powder and little salt.
  7. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Lastly add the coriander leaves, curry leaves and slit chilli and mix well before serving.
