ABOUT Tawa Arbi Fry RECIPE

Sukhi arbi or arbi fry: quick crispy taro roots sabzi which goes very well with dal, rice and chapati.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Arbi /Taro root: 6-8 ( 2 cups)
  2. Carom seeds: 1/2 tsp,
  3. Cumin seeds: ½ tsp,
  4. Turmeric/ haldi powder:1/2 tsp,
  5. Red chilly powder: ½ tsp,
  6. Coriander/ dhania powder: 2tsp,
  7. Dry mango powder 1 tsp,
  8. Green chilly: 2,
  9. Sendha namak to taste
  10. oil 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Peel the arbi and cut in to strips. Wash them well in water and drain the water out.
  2. Heat the pan on medium heat. Add oil, add cumin seeds and carom seeds and stir nicely.
  3. Now add turmeric powder, arbi and salt. Mix everything and change the heat to medium low.
  4. Cover the pan and cook arbi for 8-10 minutes or till almost cooked.
  5. Stir every 2-3 minutes so that they do not get stuck to the bottom. When arbi is almost done, add red chilly powder, coriander powder and amchur powder.
  6. Mix gently and let cook in open for some time till they are crispy from both sides.
  7. Once arbi becomes crispy switch off the heat and Sukhi arbi sabzi is ready to serve.

hi...ritu, I need to ask 2things: 1st -Your arbi is not sticking to each other and this happens only when arbi is fried first and then cooked..but you've not done that and it has come out so perfect:thumbsup:...2nd- when we cut arbi , irritation happens.on the hands .so how do you deal with that?
