Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Chicken 1 kg
  2. Onion paste 2 teaspoon
  3. Grated ginger 1 teaspoon
  4. Garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  5. Beaten curd 2 teaspoon
  6. Poppy seed paste 2 teaspoon
  7. Cashew paste 1 teaspoon
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Sugar 1 teaspoon
  10. Garam masala (2 cloves, 2 green cardamoms, Bay leaf 3, Cinnamon)
  11. 7/8 black peppercorns
  12. 2-3 red chillies
  13. 2-3 green chillies
  14. Ghee 2 teaspoon
  15. Oil 2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Wash and clean the chicken pieces. Take them in a large bowl and add curd, salt to taste,2 teaspoon onion paste, garlic paste, ginger paste, green chilli paste and mix it well Keep them covered overnight in a refrigerator.
  2. Take a kadai, add ghee 1 teaspoon and oil, then add the bay leaf, garam masala (whole), red chilli and peppercorns, allow them to splutter.
  3. Add the chicken pieces into the kadai and allow them to fry. When it changes colour, add the cashew paste and continue to saute. You can add crushed mace (optional). Now add warm water and 1 teaspoon of sugar, then cover the lid until the chicken is nicely done.
  4. Once the chicken is done, taste the seasoning and the gravy.
  5. Turn off the flame, add a little bit of ghee on top and serve it hot.
