ABOUT Corn Spinach RECIPE

A very healthy dish to be eaten with roti, etc.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Spinach 500 gms
  2. Sweet corn 200 gms
  3. Onion 1 medium sized
  4. Jeera 1 teaspoon
  5. Sugar 1 teaspoon
  6. Ginger-Garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  7. Green chillies 2 nos
  8. Dalchini/Cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon
  9. Salt as per taste
  10. Oil 1 tablespoon
  11. Cream and ginger juliennes to garnish

Instructions

  1. Clean and pick the spinach well.
  2. Put the spinach into boiling water to which a little sugar is added. Then drain and grind the spinach in the grinder/mixer.
  3. Boil sweet corn with a little salt in the pressure cooker.
  4. Also cut the onion finely and the chillies in big pieces.
  5. Heat 1 tablespoon oil or ghee. Put in the jeera, chillies and onion. Saute it well.
  6. Add in the spinach paste, boiled corn, dalchini powder, salt and sugar.
  7. Cook a little and decorate it with cream and ginger juliennes.
