Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. semolina 1.5 cup
  2. curd 1/2 cup
  3. Milk 3/4 cup
  4. Powdered sugar 1 cup
  5. ghee 1/3 cup
  6. Baking soda 1/3 tsp
  7. Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  8. cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
  9. Chopped dry fruits 2 tablespoon
  10. Tutti frutti 2 tablespoon
  11. salt 2 pinch


  1. First of all grind semolina. If you are using fine one then skip this step.
  2. Now add semolina cardamom powder salt and sugar in a bowl and mix everything properly.
  3. Now mix ghee and curd in it. Add half of the milk and stir well to avoid lumps.
  4. Keep this batter aside for 15 minutes. Meanwhile put a big vessel on gas and add 2 glass water in it. Let it come to a boil.
  5. After 15 minutes whisk the batter. Add some dry fruits tutti frutti and remaining milk. Mix everything properly.
  6. Now add baking soda and baking powder and mix it well but do not over mix.
  7. Now grease a cake tin. Sprinkle some dry fruits and tutti frutti in the base.
  8. Pour cake batter and tap it.
  9. Sprinkle remaining dry fruits and tutti frutti on the top of the batter.
  10. Put a stand in the boiling water and place cake tin on it.
  11. Cover the lid and cook the cake on medium flame.
  12. After 30 minutes insert a knife in cake. If it comes clean means your cake is cooked. Otherwise cook for some more time.
  13. When your cake is cooked turn off the flame and take out cake tin carefully. Let it cool.
  14. When cake tin is cooled completely take the cake out with a knife.
  15. Your semolina cake is ready to serve.
