Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 5 tbsp condensed milk / milkmaid
  2. 3/4 cup butter at room temperature
  3. 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  4. 1 1/4 cup maida
  5. 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  6. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  7. 1 tsp baking powder
  8. ¼ tsp salt
  9. 1/2 cup butter
  10. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  11. 1/2 cup warm milk or as required
  12. 1 tsp instant coffee powder
  13. For sugar syrup– 1/2 cup water, 3 tbsp sugar
  14. Cocoa fudge frosting– soft unsalted butter–5 tbsp
  15. Cocoa powder–2/3 cup
  16. powered sugar–3/4 cup
  17. Instant coffee–1/2 tsp
  18. Amul cream–3/4 cup
  19. Vanilla essence–1 tsp
  20. Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Sieve the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda together in a bowl twice.
  2. In another bowl, cream butter n suger together Add condensed milk to this butter mixture n cream it well.
  3. Add vanilla essence n coffee powder to milk n mix it well.
  4. Into the butter mixture, mix wet n dry ingredients in batches.
  5. Butter the baking tin n place parchment/butter paper.
  6. Place the batter in the tin n bake it at 180 degree for 30 minutes.
  7. In order to make the cake soft n moist, make the sugar syrup.
  8. Heat the sugar till it dissolves in water n allow it to cool completely.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the tin for 10 minutes. Unmold the cake from the tin.
  10. Method of making chocolate frosting– Melt the butter in a heavy bottom pan. Add cocoa powder and sugar n stir it continuously, add coffee powder, then slowly slowly add the cream.
  11. Stir the mixture continuously till the mixture become smooth n hot. Do not boil. Remove from heat n add vanilla essence n mix well.
  12. Cut the cake so as to level it.
  13. Cote the second layer of the cake with sugar syrup.
  14. Cover the second layer with chocolate icing. Repeat the same process for the first layer of the cake.
  15. Before you perform final finish, set the cake for 10 minutes in refrigerator.
  16. In order to get back to the icing or frosting, heat it for 10 seconds in the microwave n pour it over the cake till the whole cake cover with icing.
  17. Delicious chocolate cake is ready.
