Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Pumpkin
  2. Potatoes
  3. Tomatoes
  4. Onion
  5. carrot
  6. Haldi
  7. Salt
  8. Tamarind past
  9. Rasam powder
  10. ghee
  11. Chilli powder
  12. curry leaves
  13. Raai
  14. Hing
  15. Coriander to Garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cooker, add cut potatoes, pumpkin, tomatoes, onion and carrots. Also add 1 mini spoon haldi and 1 and a half spoon salt. Keep 2 two finger boxes water. Cook in pressure cooker for 2-3 whistles. Cook on low flame.
  2. Take 2 finger boxes of tamarind paste and dissolve it in a bowl of half cup water.
  3. Add the tamarind paste to the boiled veggies. Make sure they have cooled down a bit.
  4. Add 3 and a half teaspoon of MTR Rasam powder and stir well. Increase the flame and let it come to a boil.
  5. In a tampering spoon, add oil, ghee, raai and hing. Let it splutter a bit.
  6. Add washed curry leaves and 2 teaspoons of Chilli powder. Maintain safe distance.
  7. Add this mixture to the sambhar carefully. Mix well and close the gas after a quick boil. Garnish with coriander leaves.
