Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 tbsp Oil
  2. 1/4 tsp Jeera
  3. 4 potatoes (raw/boiled/par-boiled), cut into finger chips
  4. 1 big sized Onion, thinly sliced
  5. 4 garlic cloves, chopped finely
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  8. Pinch of turmeric powder
  9. 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  10. 1/4 tsp dry mango powder (amchoor)
  11. 1/4 tsp chaat masala
  12. 1/3 tsp garam masala powder
  13. A few Coriander leaves, finely chopped for garnishing
  14. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the potato finger chips. Keep aside on an absorbent kitchen paper.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add jeera. Once it starts crackling, add garlic and saute for a minute. Add sliced onions and saute them till they turn pink in colour.
  3. Add all the dry masalas in the onions and saute for a minute. Do not burn the masalas.
  4. Add the fried finger chips in the masala and mix well till the potatoes are coated well.
  5. Cover the pan with a lid till the potatoes are cooked. Cooking time will vary depending upon the kind of potatoes used. I used the boiled potatoes, so mine were done in 3-4 minutes.
  6. Serve them hot garnished with fresh coriander.
