ABOUT Vadas made with leftover rice RECIPE

An easy recipe to use leftover rice...that makes a good evening snack.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Leftover rice - 1 & half cup
  2. Onion - 2 small finely chopped
  3. Tomato- half finely chopped
  4. Besan/Gram flour - 1/4 cup
  5. Semolina- 2 tbspn
  6. Coriander leaves - 2 tbspn
  7. Red chilly powder - little as per taste
  8. Turmeric powder- 1/2 tspn
  9. Garam masala- 1|4 tspn
  10. Asafoetida- 2 pinches
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Green chillies- 2 finely chopped
  13. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and put the rice in it ... Mash it well with hands
  2. Then add all the other ingredients and mix well
  3. Now make small balls and press with hand and make them into flat round shaped tikkis
  4. Then deep fry them well from both sides till nice and crisp..
  5. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
