Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup flattened rice/Poha
  2. 1 cup black peas
  3. 1 onion finely chopped
  4. 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  5. 1 green chili, finely chopped
  6. 1 tomato, finely chopped
  7. Salt as per taste
  8. Oil 3 teaspoon
  9. Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  10. Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  11. Red chili powder 1/4 teaspoon
  12. Garam masala 1/2 teaspoon
  13. Cumin seeds 1/8 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Soak black peas overnight. Drain excess water and keep it aside
  2. Heat 2 teaspoon oil in a cooker. Add Cumin seeds, green chili and garlic. Saute for 1 minute
  3. Add onions and saute until golden brown. Add tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes
  4. Add peas and mix well
  5. Add salt and all spices. Mix well
  6. Add 1 cup water and mix
  7. Pressure cook peas mix for 3 whistles. Once steam is released, gently mix and keep it aside
  8. Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a wok
  9. Add flattened rice and roast over medium flame until it becomes crunchy
  10. Serve hot ghughi with chura
